Most recently, the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons was named in his honor. Meanwhile, Clough co-founded the United States Universities Council of Geotechnical Engineering Research (USUCGER) and served as the organization's first president As the first alumnus to serve as President of Georgia Tech, he oversaw dramatic changes in the institute, including $1 billion in new construction, increased retention and graduation rates, a higher nationwide ranking, and a much larger student body. Clough worked at several prestigious universities including Duke, Stanford, Virginia Tech, and the University of Washington. Wayne Clough served as the 10th President of Georgia Tech from 1994 to 2008 and as the 12th Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution from 2008 to 2014. Inductees have achieved and were selected by a committee on notable accomplishments in one or more of these areas: (1) fraternity & sorority life (2) Georgia Tech (3) their local community (4) their profession.

These alumni of senior rank in their community, their organization, or their profession and were nominated by collegiate members currently in the chapter. This public event helps to inspire the next generation of Greek members to sustain those values and commitments made to their organizations and to this community no matter where life takes them following their time at Georgia Tech. The Greek Hall of Fame is an event each Fall that recognizes Georgia Tech’s distinguished fraternity and sorority alumni for their notable contributions to the fraternity/sorority experience and for exemplifying the ideals of their fraternity or sorority creed. In honoring these dedicated fraternity and sorority alumni, we honor the shared value of lifelong commitment and membership to our Greek letter organizations.
